Your dev servers, one message away.
Run commands, read and edit code, and follow long jobs on your own machines from ChatGPT. Plain SSH, nothing to install on the host.
- SSH exec + SFTP only
- Host-key pinning
- Every safeguard per host
$ pnpm test ✗ orders › applies discount (expected 90, got 100) 41 passed, 1 failed · exit 1
- if (code.expired) return price + if (code.expiresAt < now) return price
The discount check compared a field that no longer exists. I fixed it in price.ts, and all 42 tests pass now.
How it works
From SSH login to a conversation in three steps
- 01
Register a host
Add a server in the dashboard or straight from ChatGPT. Generate an SSH key here or bring a password. Secrets are encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
- 02
Pin its host key
The first connection stops at host-key verification. No credentials are sent until you confirm the fingerprint.
- 03
Ask in ChatGPT
“Why are the tests failing on api-dev?” ChatGPT runs commands, reads and edits files, and follows long tasks for you.
Safety
Guardrails you choose, host by host
Every safeguard is a constraint on one host, off by default. Lock down production, leave your scratch box open. Each call is checked against its own host.
Read-only
Hide write tools and refuse anything that changes the host.
Roots
Keep file access and working directories inside the paths you list.
Sandbox
Run commands under bubblewrap, with read-only or hidden paths and optional network.
Checkpoints
Back up a file before every write and restore it with one call.
Read before write
Refuse edits to files ChatGPT hasn't read, or that changed since it did.
Command checks
Parse each shell command and reject what the host's policy doesn't allow.
Tracing
Record calls per host at Metadata, Redacted or Full detail. Off until you choose.
Off by default
Turn any of these on in the host's Constraints form, in the dashboard or in ChatGPT.

Connect it to ChatGPT
- 1In ChatGPT, add a connector with the MCP URL below.
- 2Sign in with your account when ChatGPT asks.
- 3Sign in to the dashboard with the same account. Hosts added in either place show up in both.
